This year Vic has added a new course of study, the Bachelor of Engineering (BE), to its selection of degrees.
The BE is being offered in the aim of taking advantage of national and international demand for graduates in the areas of electronics, communication and software development.
A four-year program of study, the BE will focus on the design and implementation of real-world systems as well as incorporating a focus on business and management skills. There are four majors available: computer system engineering, electronic engineering, network engineering and software engineering.
Practical aspects of engineering will also be incorporated, with students being expected to work summer internships following the second or third years of their degree.
Vic anticipates that the BE will substantially widen career options for graduates.
