Tonight was a very special night for me. I literally popped my cherry. No, not that one. That happened about ten years ago in the damp back locks of New Plymouth; a story for another time and setting. The cherry I am talking about is the whole “production-night-as-Editor” virginity thing.
There comes a time in every mans life where he feels proud of something he has done. This might be one of them.
Over the course of the last week the Salient team has thrown together an slick mag. It’s bloody awesome to see new faces in the office, eager to help. It is also good to see the old faces standing strong in the office.
A big thanks goes out to all the people who’ve helped make the Orientation issue, esp. all those people who I foisted work on at the last minute, made unreasonable demands on and yelled at.
None of them are here now of course.
It’s just Rory (the designer) and I. Humming and harring over the final details of how to FTP this thingy-ma-jig to the whats-ya-ma-call-it (technical terms).
So now Salient is oriented for the year. Hope you enjoy it. Hits the bins on Monday morning.
