Usually I am not one for shortcuts in the kitchen, I make my porridge on the stove and prefer to bake my chocolate self-saucing pudding than nuke it in the microwave. But recipes like this one have been floating around the Internet for a while now, and I became intrigued. This is so super easy if you are in the mood for something sweet but can’t be bothered fluffing around putting something together or cleaning up afterward, this is just the ticket.
What you need…

▴  1⁄4 cup flour
▴  1⁄4 loosely packed brown sugar
▴  Pinch of salt
▴  2 tbsp. cocoa powder
▴  1 tbsp. oil
▴  4 tbsp. water

What to do…
Take a largish sized mug and put flour, sugar, salt and cocoa powder into it. Give it a really good mix with a fork to get rid of any lumps. Add the oil and water to the dry ingredients and mix with the fork until it is smooth and completely combined. Zap it in the microwave for 1 minute and then check with a teaspoon if it is cooked down to the bottom by scooping the edge of the cake away from the side of the mug. If not, microwave for a further 10 seconds. Enjoy with cream or ice cream, or just as it is.
