New university email accounts for students are now operational and students have been advised to activate their accounts by 29 September to ensure they don’t miss any important course information.
The new email system, hosted by Microsoft, increase the storage size of the previous system, as well as “giving [students] access to features like blogging, messaging, document sharing and publishing.”
The email redirects from university accounts to students’ personal addresses are no longer active, and from 29 September university sites like Blackboard will send course communications to the new addresses.
Students can activate their new accounts and forward their emails by logging on through the MyVictoria website, and the University running a competition for those who activate their accounts by 10 October.
Students who have any problems with the new accounts can view the FAQs on the MyVictoria site or ask at the ITS Help Desk.
