The Establishment bar on Courtenay Place is now offering shuttles to and from the bar to make sure people get into town and home safe on nights out.
Managing Director Andrew Gibson says anyone from within the CBD or Kelburn can ring up to book the shuttle to take them to The Establishment before midnight, and the shuttle is also available to take patrons home – particularly on Wednesday nights.
After a number of attacks on women walking home late at night, police have given The Establishment’s shuttle a thumbs-up, and Gibson says the shuttle is a part of his host-responsibility to ensure patrons’ safety.
Gibson will also be buying another shuttle for the recently-acquired Big Kumara to ferry patrons home from there.
