Hello Students!
I hope you all had a good first week back at class and enjoyed the fantastic O week line-up. The Hunter Lounge is awesome!
Karori Campus started our year off on a high note—minus the BBQ catching on fire, that is—with three days of orientation. It was great to meet so many Karori students, and seeing how many were super keen to get involved as a Class Rep or Faculty Delegate.
Kelburn campus then followed suit, with many students visiting our stall to collect VUWSA wall planners, diaries and to chat to us about what VUWSA can do for students.
Since Karori orientation, the Education Team has interviewed and selected the Faculty Delegates for this year and they have their training this week. Over the last few weeks, we have also been working on strengthening the Class Rep training system, so it will be ready for the training sessions starting in week three. It is important that students utilise these student representatives to ensure that your voices are heard on campus.
Now that the semester is in full swing, a VUWSA office administrator starts at Karori and Pipitea campuses with regular office hours, please feel free to drop in and see the office people.
As classes start to get busy, if you are having any academic issues, or your money is slowly running out, don’t forget all the incredible services that VUWSA provides to help you out. Check our website, come in and see us or flick us an email if you need some help.
Also, if you didn’t sign up for any clubs etc. during Clubs Week, go to our website to find out more, it is an awesome way to meet new people and do something outside of your studies.
Get involved and have an awesome semester!
